Normale Version: He is your son

“Hermann, look what I found under your son's bed,” Martina Schubert, the mother of 16-year-old Tom, said indignantly while holding a newspaper with pointed fingers.
“What's wrong with you now? Every time he's done something wrong, he's suddenly my son and not ours,” came the annoyed reply from the living room. He had actually just wanted to read his Sunday paper in peace and now he was being disturbed again. The same drama every weekend. It was always something.
“Now look at this garbage!” he heard his wife say and the magazine was immediately thrown into his lap. He hadn't really looked at all. He had noticed that there was a lot of naked skin on the cover, but thought it was one of the magazines he used to hide in his room when he was a teenager and nowadays in the garage. But there was something crucial missing from the model, or rather there was something he clearly didn't want to see at a certain point.
“That ... that ...” he began to stammer, ‘ ... that's a man,’ which only earned him a mocking look from his wife.
“Oh no, I know that too.”
Hermann's vein was slowly bursting.
“Why does Tom have naked guys under his bed? He's supposed to be looking at naked women,” he pressed out, causing his wife to frown.
“First of all, they're not women, as you call them, and secondly, my point is not that they're naked men, but that he shouldn't be reading magazines like that at his age.”
Hermann gasped for air. What was his wife saying?
“You're not seriously trying to tell me that it doesn't bother you that your son is obviously interested in men!!!” he roared.
“There are worse things, Hermann. And besides, he promised me he would always protect himself,” Martina replied relatively calmly. She had actually assumed that her husband had known about it long ago. The noises that came from Tom's room when his “best friend” - who was probably a bit more than that - was visiting were relatively clear. But her husband simply didn't talk about such things. It would certainly be good for Tom if he could talk to his father about such things.
“You knew about this???” Furious, Hermann looked from his wife to his son, who had just come home at that moment.
“Yes, she knew about it,” Tom replied instead of his mother and added a venomous-sounding ”If you were at home more often and weren't always at Moni's in the pub, you would have found out long ago. But instead, you get drunk and do it with her.”
“Watch your mouth!” his father shouted back and came dangerously close to his son. His wife only just managed to stop him from slapping Tom or worse.
What had he done to deserve such a father, Tom thought to himself. If his friend didn't have to share his room with his brother, they would definitely be with him more often. He hadn't actually wanted to tell his mother about them, but he had forgotten to lock the door once and so they had only split up at the last moment.
His mother hadn't said anything at first, only when his friend Daniel had left had she come to him and told him that he could always tell her anything and that she would be there for him, no matter what problem he had.
Then it had suddenly burst out of him that he was gay and that he was with Daniel. One thing had led to another and they had even talked about contraception, which hadn't exactly been easy for his mother, she had always been a bit uptight about it. But she was simply afraid for him, afraid that he might catch something, especially HIV. He had clearly seen her relief when he had told her that they hadn't slept together yet and that they would use condoms when the time came.
It had been the first time he had spoken so openly with his mother and afterwards he felt somehow relieved. He was glad that she had reacted like that and not as he had secretly feared.
But his father had behaved exactly as he had suspected. That hypocritical A.... Did he really believe that he hadn't discovered his Playboys in the garage yet? He had come across them by chance when he was 13, when he was looking for tools for his skateboard. Out of sheer curiosity, he had leafed through a few of the magazines and found nothing that interested him in the slightest. However, as he was pretty sure that one or two of his classmates would buy the notebooks from him with a kiss, he had taken a few of the notebooks that were further down in the box and sold them to his buddies at school the next day. He had raised a tidy sum.
What those pubescent boys would pay for a bit of naked skin .... It was just as well for him. He could put the money to good use with his tight pocket money. Back then, he hadn't known what that meant for him at the same time. The girls in his class had never really bothered him. If he did, then he hung out with his buddies. When they gradually started to show an interest in the female sex and had their first girlfriends and he was finally the only one in his clique without a girlfriend, he started to wonder. Why was he different from his buddies? Why didn't he feel anything for girls?
Over time, he had noticed time and again that he was attracted to Daniel, and in a different way to his other friends. For a long time he had tried to convince himself that it was simply because Daniel was his best friend and he confided in him much more than the others in his clique, but one day he realized that there was much more to it ... he had fallen in love with him ... with a man. This realization was not exactly easy for him to digest and he struggled with himself. He hadn't known what to do. The only person he could have talked to was Daniel ....
For weeks, he had tried to deny his feelings for Daniel, but he just couldn't do it. During the day, he had often caught himself looking at him in love when he thought Daniel couldn't see him. And at night, it had crept into his dreams. At first, he had only dreamt of them holding each other in their arms or simply sitting very close to each other.
They hadn't even kissed. Well, until that Friday night .... He had already had problems getting his feelings under control in the morning during sports lessons. First those partner exercises with lots of physical contact and then they had also had to train their stomach muscles. During the exercise, he had been lying on the mat with his head between Daniel's slightly straddled legs. As Daniel had been standing right above him, he had had a clear view of his rather wide trouser legs. Afterwards, he had really wondered what had made him blush ... the exercise itself hadn't caused the blush alone. They had seen each other naked many times before. Why did that have such an effect on him in this situation of all places?
After the lesson, he had been anything but hurried and had even helped to clear away the sports equipment. A task he had always successfully avoided. He had simply wanted to avoid standing naked next to Daniel in the communal shower. Because he wouldn't have had a chance to hide his excitement. Daniel had looked at him strangely when he had volunteered to clean up, but had quickly made his escape. Less than a day later, he had found out why ....
When he had finally made it to the changing room, only Simon had been there, who had told him that Daniel had already left because he had to look after his little brother. All of a sudden, he had been surprised.
A few hours earlier, they had been thinking about doing something together in the afternoon. They also had to do the shopping for their weekend at the lake with the gang. They had actually wanted to do that together too.
Simon had just shrugged his shoulders in response. He couldn't help him either. He first had tutoring and then a piano lesson. Simon was really not to be envied, so he thought he'd better go shopping.
He had been pretty exhausted that evening. The charcoal, the drinks and the other bits and pieces together had been heavier than he had thought. At least he hadn't had to lug everything down to the cellar and could store it in the garage instead.
And although he was actually dead tired, he hadn't been able to fall asleep. His thoughts were constantly revolving around the events of the day and the day ahead. The next night, as always when they spent the night at the lake with the gang, he and Daniel would spend the night in one of the small tents.
At some point, he had dozed off and dreamt crazy things, but Daniel and he had always played the leading role. The two of them naked in a bed ... kissing .... He had woken up and wondered what it would be like to kiss him. Would his lips feel different from a woman's?
He almost overslept the next morning. Fortunately, he had set his alarm the night before. However, the others probably wouldn't have left without him. After all, all their provisions were still in the garage. When the boys arrived a few minutes later, he was at least halfway ready to leave. Even though he hadn't been fully awake, he had immediately noticed that one of them was missing ... Daniel. Apparently he had to look after his sister again. At least that's what he had told Simon, who had actually wanted to give him a lift on his scooter.
Marko, the fourth member of the group, knew only too well that this couldn't be true. He had seen Daniel's mother with her younger son on the way to Tom's just a few minutes ago. He had a hunch why Daniel didn't want to come along.
Under the pretext that he had forgotten something at home, he had driven to Daniel's house and had told him that something couldn't be right and when he tried to talk his way out of it, he had simply said: “You're in love with Tom.”
It had been more of a statement than a question. He hadn't missed the looks from the two of them during the lesson and the stammering that Daniel had uttered when he couldn't get away fast enough after sports. He hadn't usually been in such a hurry. It had taken a moment for Daniel to look him in the eye and nod.
He had first pulled him into a hug and made it clear that he had no problem with it and suggested that he help him so that he no longer had to secretly paw at Tom. They had talked briefly and then driven to the lake together.
Daniel's eyes flashed and his heart was pounding in his throat. There was only one sentence buzzing around in his head: 'Tom loves you too, for sure. It would be too good if that were true, he thought to himself.
Marko didn't have a plan for how he could get the two of them together, but in his opinion, a little alcohol couldn't be wrong. It was just stupid that Tom refused to drink any. Surely because of his father ... he had heard something about one drunk in the family being enough.
So, without further ado, he'd let Simon in on it. He hadn't missed the sparks flying back and forth between the two of them and Marko had only confirmed his suspicions.
The whole time, they had managed to ensure that Daniel and Tom were hardly ever apart. First they had sent them to fetch wood together, then water at the stream, etc., etc. They never tired of coming up with something new for the two of them.
The day literally flew by. When they weren't fooling around in the water or having a swimming race, they were lying lazily on the blankets they had spread out and eating the food they had brought with them.
Simon and Marko had secretly watched the two lovers. Neither of them seemed to want to make the first move. Marko had been on the verge of saying out loud several times what Simon also seemed to be thinking: “Just do it, it's unbearable.” Whenever Tom and Daniel thought the other wasn't looking, they risked an eye.
At some point in the late afternoon, Marko had had enough. He gestured to Simon to follow him. When they were out of earshot of their friends, Marko briefly outlined his plan to Simon. Neither of them were sure that it would work, but what was wrong with at least giving it a try?
It was late afternoon, but still warm enough to jump into the lake again. To get the other two men to come into the water with them, they exaggerated a little and complained about the unbearable heat. They weren't exactly the best actors, but with a little persuasion they finally managed to get the other two to go for a swim. Once in the water, Marko and Simon immediately started to splash each other with water and also gave the others various splashes. Soon they had achieved their first goal ... the mood was much more relaxed and so the suggestion to have a little “fight”, in which one of them would take the other on their shoulders, was at least not immediately rejected. The team whose “rider” was the last to remain on top would win. Marko quickly declared that he would “piggyback” Simon. This left the other two with no choice but to form the second team. They looked at each other uncertainly. They both knew that they would have a lot of physical contact ....
Simon snapped them out of their momentary stupor. “What's the matter now? Do you need some motivation? How about ...” Marko picked up the thread when he realized that his friend was faltering. “... the losers are about to make dinner and clean up.” Not that that would have been a reason for Daniel and Tom to finally get into starting position, but they did. If only to avoid having to show their true feelings. But who should sit on top?
“Now get a move on,” urged Marko, who was already sitting on Simon's shoulders. It had been pretty clear from the start who would take which position, as Simon was around a head taller than Marko. However, the other two were roughly the same height.
Daniel had finally taken heart and agreed to be the porter. He preferred that to sitting on top, because he knew exactly which soft part was about to press against the back of his head. He wasn't so sure whether “soft” would still have been suitable for him.
But why was Tom so hesitant? Had ... had he realized that he had fallen in love with him? Had he possibly noticed how he kept looking at him from the side?
Tom had been so weird all day. He had accepted his apology for running off so quickly at the lecture and not helping him with the shopping as promised, but somehow ... oh, he didn't know. It just hadn't been like normal.
Of course, it hadn't been the smart thing to do to just disappear like that, but he had needed the afternoon to himself, had wanted to think about the dream he had had the night before, had wanted to realize his feelings. He had kissed him ... him ... a MAN? When he had woken up, he had been shocked at first and had wondered what the dream had meant. Was he in love? With his best friend? That couldn't be right, could it?
This closeness during sports lessons had been sweet torture for him. On the one hand, he had enjoyed touching Tom, but on the other hand, he had been damn afraid that his body would betray him, which would have been more than embarrassing during class and then in front of TOM. He couldn't even think about that ....
It was clear that Tom was angry because he had had to do everything on his own and he hadn't even called him. But was that really it? He behaved differently than usual when they had a fight and Tom was angry with him. Was Marko possibly right after all and Tom had fallen in love with him too? He had been thinking back and forth all afternoon, but no matter how he turned it around ... he definitely felt more for Tom than just friendship. And when Marko had told him that in the morning ... he had wanted to sink into the ground. Well, he could have denied it, but what good would it have done? No, it was just as well. At least he had someone to talk to.
Marko had encouraged him, told him that he didn't need to be afraid that even one of the boys would make a fool of him about it, and told him about his suspicion that Tom had feelings for him too.
Unfortunately, they had had to leave far too quickly. They hadn't wanted to keep the others waiting any longer. Simon had still asked where they had drifted off. Marko had then claimed that his scooter had been acting up and Daniel had helped him. He was very grateful to him for that, even though he had the impression that Tom and Simon in particular hadn't bought his excuse.
This was actually the ideal opportunity to find out how Tom was doing. The way Marko and Simon were grinning, he wouldn't be surprised if the two of them were in cahoots. However, that would also mean that Marko had let him in on it .... Damn! He noticed the blush slowly rising to his face. They had probably been watching him the whole time .... It was no use .... He dived under and before Tom knew it, he felt Daniel between his legs and was lifted up. He was still busy trying to get a grip on his feelings by convincing himself that Daniel was ONLY a friend. But that didn't really work, as he soon realized .... And his reaction had not escaped the notice of the gentleman on whose shoulders he was sitting. Daniel's grin widened with every passing second.
You couldn't really call what they were doing a fight. Simon and Marko were far too busy watching the others, Tom was struggling with himself and his feelings and Daniel was wondering what to do next. Suddenly, Simon stepped on one of the thick stones lying on the lake bed and lost his balance. Marko could no longer stand on his shoulders and fell into the water.
“Well, we'll have to make dinner then, won't we?” Simon said to Marko as he resurfaced, grinning. He wasn't usually a good loser, but at least this time it had a good effect. He hadn't planned it that way, even if it must have looked to Marko as if he had done it on purpose.
“You can still stay in the water,” said Marko and winked in the direction of the other two, each of whom thought it was meant for him, only with different consequences.
While Daniel had understood it exactly as it was meant, namely as a little nudge to tell Tom about his feelings, Tom took it the wrong way. Shit ... damn .... Marko must have seen the tent roof. He had to get down here, away from Daniel. What did he think of him?
But it didn't occur to Daniel to let him go. He skillfully ignored Tom's ever louder demands to finally let him down. At some point, however, he could no longer hold him and fell backwards into the water with him. Marko and Simon had long since made off. They had so much to do .... Daniel was very grateful, because he didn't necessarily want an audience for what he was about to do ....
The two of them emerged from the lake with a snort. Tom didn't really give Daniel much time to catch his breath, however, and immediately pushed him back under the water to thank him for the splash on his back and to distract him from his little problem. He had hit the surface of the water rather roughly and it hadn't exactly done his already sunburnt back any good. Daniel still tried to protest, but swallowed more water than anything else. At least he managed to pull Tom under the water with him. The squabbling continued under the surface. However, they couldn't hold out for long and came back up gasping for air. The words with which Tom called him, as soon as he had his breathing at least halfway under control, were anything but nice, even though they weren't really meant seriously. Nevertheless, he got into it and said with a grin: “After all, you wanted to get down quickly. Now you're down, it's no good again.”
“Haha, very funny,” Tom responded ironically. His back was really burning and he didn't know how he was going to lie on it at night. It would probably be best if he went home. He shouldn't have come here in the first place. In situations like this, he simply found it harder and harder to hide his feelings.
At least the relatively cool water had solved one of his problems .... Hopefully Daniel hadn't noticed anything .... This hope was probably in vain, judging by the grin on his face. How could he have held on to his shoulders without clinging to him with his legs? It had been unavoidable that his crotch had made the acquaintance of Daniel's neck.
Why had he been so sensitive to touch of any kind lately? Although ... actually, his body only reacted when a certain Daniel touched him. Sometimes it was enough for their arms to touch when they sat next to each other at school. The reactions ranged from a tingling sensation that ran through his whole body from the arm in question to the feeling of completely blushing, although the latter was rather rare. But it was enough for him that his heart beat faster when Daniel was near him. If he then looked at him with a dreamy laugh, it was all over.
He knew that Daniel wasn't thinking about him at that moment, but about Claudia, who was sitting one row in front of them at school. He had felt a bit shabby that he had secretly been pleased that Daniel had fallen unhappily in love with Claudia. Because he was pretty sure that Daniel didn't stand a chance with her, the way she and her boyfriend spent every spare moment together, or rather glued to each other.
He was aware that you should never say never, no relationship lasts forever, but at least he had a little spark of hope. Maybe that spark would turn into something more ....
At that moment, he looked into the other person's eyes ... oh God ... that look ... that smile and this time there was no Claudia ... just the two of them .... Surely he wouldn't? Oh yes .... He could already feel Daniel's hand on his arm. The second one was around his waist a short time later. Did he just mean that, or was he really pulling him closer? The right hand left his arm and made its way over his shoulder to his neck. He couldn't move ... even though he wasn't sure if he wasn't about to be doused by his friend. But then why was Daniel looking into his eyes for so long? All distraction maneuvers ... for sure .... The tingling sensation had returned immediately and he couldn't turn it off. Although the water was quite cool, he had the feeling that he was getting a few degrees warmer. Hopefully he wasn't betrayed by his heart, which once again wasn't doing what it should ... beating quietly. No, of course it had to beat faster again and then those butterflies in his stomach .... He had to detach himself ... had to get away from Daniel, otherwise he would betray himself for good.
He only found out much later that he was in the best of company, because he wasn't the only one whose heart was beating up to his neck. Daniel was simply scared. Afraid that he was wrong in his assumption that Tom had feelings for him and that what he had felt at the back of his head was only caused by the constant friction. But he wanted to know now whether Marko was right. He could only hope so, because he didn't even want to think about what would happen if he was wrong and Tom possibly terminated his friendship ....
The fact that his counterpart didn't break eye contact gave him courage. The courage to pull him closer, so close that their heads were almost touching. He could feel his warm breath on his skin. Was he imagining it, or was Tom breathing faster than usual? Or was that just his own breathing he could hear? Afterwards, he could no longer tell how long they had looked into each other's eyes like that. All he could remember was that at some point he had started to gently nuzzle Tom's neck, whereupon he had closed his eyes briefly and breathed a little faster, which he had now clearly noticed.
Suddenly he seemed to have woken up from his stupor and suddenly he had felt Tom's hands on his hips. Tentatively, but they were there. Only he couldn't look him in the eye because he had lowered his head a little. There was also a slight blush on his face. He had then slowly removed his hand from Tom's hip and placed it under his chin to raise his head again. When their eyes finally met again, everything was clear ....
They had been in far too much of a hurry to connect their lips, so it had become more of a nose kiss than anything else.
A burst of laughter had inevitably rippled through their bodies .... It had been a liberating laugh. The initial tension was gone and the second attempt worked better. They would just have to practise a lot ...
