West Covenant is a town that's too relaxed. At least, according to Alx. He over thinks the small, inevitable things in life, like puberty. Ok, so maybe puberty is not such a small thing. To his friends, it's nothing. To him, it's the emotional changes, not the physical, that cause him the most anxiety. That is, until euphoric dreams and a mysterious, honey haired boy who moves in two houses down, enters his life.
The book consists of 2 parts:
Chapters 1 - 8 make up "A God Among Boys" Part I,
then half-way through the book there is Part II, with a separate table of contents:
Chapters 9 - 25 Part II "Athena's Deep"
Part II of "A God Among Boys." (Athena's Deep)
Alx and Marvin arrive in the infamous Athena's Deep, but not together. They must find each other in the creeping darkness before they can travel together to the mysterious island where the missing virgin boys await rescue. Along the way, they encounter their past and present fears, meet a formless woman, and take a formidable dive into a depthless, black ocean. As they tackle each obstacle together, they soon realize how much closer they've become as friends.
