Math Tutor - WMASG - 12-30-2025 Geordi was a nerd, in every sense of the word, right down to the black plastic-framed glasses and the pocket protector which held his assortment of writing implements. He lacked the less-practical clothing stereotypes, but there was no mistaking his fundamental nature. Having skipped both third and seventh grades, he was intellectually aligned with his peers in high school, but as is often the case, he lagged socially. There was nothing more nerdy about Geordi than his name, his full name, that is. In a fit of perverse humor, his science-fiction-addicted father, Harry La Forge, named him after the Star Trek: The Next Generation character. What perfectly completed the personification was that the young African-American looked remarkably like LeVar Burton. Replace the glasses with a visor and, voila! As a result, Geordi was the constant butt of jokes at school, something which he took with such equanimity that the jokes collapsed on themselves like a giant star imploding into a black hole. His affable nature quickly gained him a reputation as the approachable nerd who'd help you understand the mysteries of science. Physical science, that is. Where biological science was concerned, Geordi was clueless. At fourteen, Geordi was not a stranger to masturbation. However, he was more inclined to do things like see how far he could shoot, measure how much fluid he produced, and then try to calculate the internal pressure required to attain the observed results. To be sure, he enjoyed it like every other male kid his age, but his nerdiness added new dimensions. What his peers realized only at the city park swimming area and during post-PE showers was that Geordi made excellent use of his Bowflex at home. To Geordi , it was simply another scientific experiment. But when he removed his glasses, pocket protector, and shirt, he was a fucking hunk. It was one of Geordi's classmates who gave him the idea - he could make money tutoring fellow students. He was more inclined to help them as friends, but when his sixteen-year-old neighbor Austin needed some extensive help making up a failing grade in the algebra class they'd taken together, Austin's mother turned to Geordi, and Geordi started his unofficial business. ************ "What good is algebra, anyway? It's not anything I'll ever use." Austin was not happy about studying during the summer. Combined with his work as a lifeguard, it didn't leave as much time for fun as he'd like. Geordi thought for a minute. To him, it was obvious, but how to make it obvious to someone else? "If it's four miles to school and you ride your bicycle at eight miles an hour, what time do you have to leave home to be at school by eight o'clock?" Austin scowled. "My mom worries about that shit." Geordi took another approach. "Who's paying for me to be here?" "I am. Mom says it's my fault for not studying, so I'm paying." Geordi smiled. "If it's costing you ten dollars an hour for me to help you and you waste thirty percent of the time bitching about it, twenty percent wishing you were swimming, and ten percent rubbing your boner like you are right now, how much money will you be throwing away." Austin grinned, but then he thought for a minute or so. "You didn't give me enough information." "What do you need to know?" "How many hours it will take if I don't do all of those other things." "Very good. I gave you one equation with two unknowns. That doesn't work. Try this. There are twenty lessons to do. Half will take three hours each. One quarter will take half again as long, and the rest each take an average of all the rest. Only twenty percent of that will require my help. So, how many hours?" "That's too complicated. I could do it with simple math, but it would take a long time." Geordi grinned. "Precisely. And with algebra, you can do it in a minute once you understand how." Geordi scratched on a piece of paper for about thirty seconds. "It will take fourteen hours of my time if you don't screw around, thirty-five if you do. That's twenty-one hours at ten dollars an hour. The answer to the original question is two hundred ten dollars." "That's a lot of money! How did you do that?" Geordi smiled with satisfaction. "Shall we begin?" ************ The lessons went well. Austin learned quickly, once he put his mind to it. The practical applications became clearer each day. One week into the one-month online-course project, Austin was ahead of the game. It would take even less of Geordi's time than the original estimate. Geordi found he enjoyed teaching, and began to rethink his career plans. That he'd earn less because Austin learned quickly didn't matter. He was having fun, and he'd lined up three more students in the meantime. Geordi was learning something else, too. Working closely with Austin gave him a boner. There was an intellectual connection and a friendship developing which both were enjoying. But something biological was happening, too. Geordi liked the smell of Austin's hair. The smile when he understood something. His tight abs and the way his muscles moved when he discarded his shirt. And the twinkle in his eye when, having done so, he saw Geordi scoping him out yet again. Austin knew what was happening, and he was smart enough to know that Geordi didn't. He had some lessons he could give in return, and he wouldn't charge for them either. He'd seen Geordi at the lake, and knew he was hotter than one might think at first glance. He and Geordi could have a lot of fun. "Wanna go swimming at the lake with me tonight after the park closes?" "That's illegal, isn't it?" Austin grinned. "Lighten up, dude. Skyler and I do it all the time, and we invite friends to join us." Now that Austin mentioned it, Geordi recalled his younger brother having reported doing that. He wasn't sure he believed it at the time, but maybe Wesley hadn't been shitting him after all. He smiled. "Sure! Sounds like fun. Can I bring my brother Wes?" That didn't quite fit with Austin's plan, but there was an easy solution. He smiled as he considered how much fun this could be. "Yeah, I know Wes. Bring him along." ************ "I need a little help, and I think you'll be happy to provide it." Austin was addressing his fellow lifeguard. "You want me to fuck you." Austin laughed. "Not a chance, but I want you to fuck someone else." Skyler grinned. "Eric? That would be as much fun as fucking his buddy Brody." Austin's eyebrows rose. "You fucked Brody?" Skyler smiled reminiscently. "Yeah, the night before he left. In the woods, all night. Don't tell Eric, though. It would piss him off to find out I'd seduced his first lifeguard groupie. But I can tell you more about that later. Who do you want me to fuck?" "Well, first you should know that I invited Geordi to join me for a late swim tonight." Skyler laughed. "That nerd? He wouldn't know what to do with it if you put it in for him." Austin smiled. "You might be surprised. He's been tutoring me in algebra. We hit it off pretty well, and he's been checking me out when he thinks I'm not looking. He might require a little guidance, but I bet I could get him to top me." Skyler was indeed surprised. "I have a hard time seeing you being friends with a nerd and a harder time imagining you bottoming for anyone." "I'd make an exception for him. But the reason I brought it up is he wants to bring Wes. Would you care to join us?" Skyler grinned broadly. "I bet Geordi doesn't even know Wes is doing it. Oh, yes, I would! Count me in. This could be an interesting evening." ************ Austin arrived early, wanting to be there when Geordi arrived. He spread out a blanket on the grass near the swimming area. Kicking off his beach sandals and removing his shorts, he lay down to wait. Geordi and Wesley showed up next together. Ever practical, Geordi had left his glasses at home. Shirtless and without the specs, he was hotter than hades. Wesley pulled off his shorts without hesitation. Austin leaned up and gave them both fist bumps. "Hi guys. Skyler's coming too, He's not here yet, though. Have a seat if you like." They both sat down. Wesley, the sociable one, spoke up. "Thanks for inviting us for an evening swim. I enjoyed the other times I was here, and I think Geordi will, too. Geordi, pull off your shorts." Wesley's mischievous grin suggested he hadn't filled Geordi in on the fun he was expecting. It would be a surprise to Geordi, which was what Austin wanted. He grinned back. "I'm glad you had a good time with Skyler. Should we swim while we wait for him?" Wesley jumped up ready to go. Although a year younger than Geordi, he was the leader, at least in social situations. He grabbed Geordi by the hand. "Come on, bro. Don't sit there like a bump on a log. And for fuck's sake, take your damn shorts off. Austin must not have told you, but we're gonna go skinny dipping." Geordi let himself be pulled up, and then he stripped like the other two. They walked down to the lake, enjoying the warm night air. The full moon shone brightly on the water, joining with the light breeze to turn the wavelets into liquid gold. They stopped to look at the moving sculpture, each seeing something different. Austin saw the beauty of the moonlight on the water. Geordi contemplated the science of reflected light. Wesley saw another opportunity to take a load from Skyler. The three boys slipped into the water and swam away from the shore. They were only about fifty feet out when Skyler came running up. "Sorry I'm late, guys. My bicycle had a flat tire." A grin on his face, Wesley turned directly towards shore and waded out. Turning around he called to the others. "Why don't you two swim on out to the diving platform. I'll hang out on the beach with Skyler." Austin smiled. The kid was smart. "Sounds good. We'll be back a little later. Skyler, there are refreshments in my cooler." ************ Austin climbed onto the diving platform with Geordi right behind him. "Have you ever gone diving at night?" Geordi was shivering slightly. "Nope. Nor swimming, which is awesome." Austin put a friendly hand on Geordi's shoulder. "It's exciting diving off the board. You can't see into the water so it looks like you're gonna land on a solid surface. You gotta trust what you know." He grinned. "Like a lot of science." Geordi grinned back. "You go first." Austin resisted. "I'd like you to go first. Have confidence the water will behave the way you expect it to, and there's no monster in there waiting for you." Geordi stepped up onto the board and walked to the end. He looked back at Austin and smiled - and then did a perfect forward dive into the water. Austin climbed onto the board. As soon as Geordi surfaced, he followed him in. Coming back up, he had advice. "The only thing to be careful of is not to dive on top of your companions. Keep track of where everybody is at all times." Austin smiled to himself. Although swimming and diving lessons weren't what he had in mind for the evening, he enjoyed the opportunity to share his knowledge. The boys climbed onto the platform. "Do a back dive this time." Geordi hesitated, but only for a moment. This was Austin's area of expertise, and he'd do what Austin told him to. He went to the end of the board and did a perfect back dive. Austin stood on the edge of the platform waiting for him to come up. "What did you think?" Geordi grinned. "It's wild. You don't realize how much you depend on your surroundings for reference points. I had to trust my instincts to believe it would come out right." Austin grinned back. "Perfect analysis. And a perfect dive." He sat down on the diving board. "Come on up and join me." Geordi sat next to Austin, shivering again. Austin rubbed his back and shoulders, wiping off the water and trying to warm him up a little. "You must not be used to this. Do you wanna head back to shore?" Geordi paused a minute, struggling to say what he wanted to. "Not yet. I like being out here alone with you." Austin squeezed his shoulder. "I like it too, buddy. You've become a good friend this week. I appreciate all of your help." Geordi smiled, and noticed he'd stopped shivering. Austin's touch was all it took to warm him up. And give him a boner. He looked down at it. Austin chuckled - his was rising, too. "Don't worry about it, buddy. In fact, I'm glad to see I have that effect on you. You can see what you're doing to me, too." Geordi paused to think again. "It's not normal." Austin thought for a moment. "Let me give you back one of your own lessons, Geordi. You showed me how algebra is useful for statistics, and one thing we talked about was 'normal'. It depends on the population being studied. What's normal for one population isn't for another. This is normal for you and me." Geordi smiled. "I'm glad to see you remember that." Austin smiled back. "You're a good teacher. All of us are normal in certain populations and not normal in others. You're a normal nerd. I'm not. Your brother is socially normal for a teenager. You're not. Does it matter? Not at all. Let me tell you my favorite saying: 'Why be normal when you can be yourself?' Be yourself, Geordi. Be a nerd. And be gay, if that's what you are. To hell with normal." Geordi laughed out loud. Then he turned his head towards Austin with a look on his face somewhere between amusement and determination. Putting his arm around Austin, he leaned in and gave him a kiss on his temple. "I've been wanting to do that for a long time." Austin grinned at him and gave him a firm kiss on the lips. "Me too. Now, are there other things you've been wanting to do?" Geordi paused. "Yeah, and I don't even know what some of them are." Austin squeezed Geordi's neck. "Let's go back to the beach. It's my turn to be the teacher." Geordi hesitated. "What about Skyler? And Wes?" Austin smiled to himself. That problem had undoubtedly taken care of itself. "Let's play that one by ear." ************ |
