Les Exploits d'un jeune Don Juan (1911) - Simon - 11-22-2025 "The Exploits of a Young Don Juan" (1911) is a humorous and provocative coming-of-age novel about love and sex. Roger, a young man from a good family, accompanies his sister and mother to the countryside, to the family estate. Filled with uninhibited servants, it's the perfect opportunity for him, who dreams only of languorous women, voluptuous breasts, and fragrant folds, to explore all possibilities. Seducing every woman in a skirt, he shrinks from no perversion to satisfy his desire. A loose, and far more moral, film adaptation of the novel was made in 1987 by Gianfranco Mingozzi, as well as a graphic novel adaptation by Georges Pichard (2010). LUST Classics is a collection of classic erotic literature. The works it comprises have been selected for their major historical contribution to the genre, despite content that may sometimes be shocking or controversial. Behind the work of the French poet, his eclecticism, including its erotic aspects, is often overlooked. Admired by many, he coined the term "surrealism," and his originality made him a precursor of the 20th-century literary revolution. Guillaume Apollinaire, born on August 26, 1880, in Rome, died in Paris on November 9, 1918, from the Spanish flu, but was declared a war hero due to his service during the war. Picasso submitted several designs for his tomb in Père-Lachaise Cemetery, all of which were rejected. |
